Registration

How can I register?

Registration for the SCT 2017 is carried out exclusively by our online registration form which is available here.
If you are accepted as a speaker or chairman of the SCT 2017 please use only the registration with the access we have sent to you. This is the only way you can benefit from the reduced conference fee.

Can I buy a day ticket / partial services?

1-day-tickets are available.

A booking for individual presentations is not possible. It is not possible to book the event without catering.

Can I cancel my participation?

Free of charge cancellation is not possible, although you can select a replacement free of charge.

Can you issue me a letter of invitation for my visa application?

Yes. Please send us an e-mail with a scan of your passport to info@sct2017.com. We will send you the invitation letter as an electronic document via Email. Please have in mind that the conference fee have to be paid before we can send the invitation letter. The processing will take a few days, please consider this in your schedule. Please note that Saturdays and Sundays are not working days.

How do I know that my registration was successful?

After you register you will immediately receive a confirmation with an invoice to the specified email address (and, if spezified, to the registered alternative email address). If you do not receive this, please check your spam folder. If no confirmation is received, please contact us (info@sct2017.com).

Program

I've lost my access data. What can I do?

Please contact us at info@sct2017.com. The processing will take a few days, please consider this in your schedule. Saturdays and Sundays are not working days.

Can I set a preferred date for my presentation?

No. Due to the extensive conference program, it is not possible to give a desired date.

Can I register/ change a Co-Author?

Your data can be uploaded to the speaker platform. If you have already stored data it will be overwritten by re-save. Near to the event no further change will be possible, this has been blocked by the organizer and changes are no longer possible.

By when do I have to have submitted my documents?

All personal data, as well as the title and coauthors must be controlled prior to the November 15, 2016

The elaborated Proceedings Entries must be uploaded by February 13, 2017.

The deadline for the PPT file is April 30, 2017.

If there are changes to my data, how can I tell?

Invoicing & payment

I have not received my invoice. Why not?

Immediately after you register, you will receive a confirmation with an invoice to the specified email address (and, if spezified, to the registered alternative email address). I am prevented. What do I do?

Where can I find the bank account details?

The bank details are stated on the invoice. Please transfer the registration fee only to the specified account, otherwise the payment cannot be allocated. Payments to the Stahlinstitut VDEh cannot be posted and you will receive a reminder.

By when must the invoice be paid?

The due date of the registration fee is stated on the invoice.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Payment can be made by credit card (VISA, Mastercard) as well as by bank transfer.

Venue

Is catering available?

During the event, participants will be supplied with food and drinks. These are included in the participation fee. Booking is not possible without catering.

Evening Event

I would like to sit together with my colleagues. Is this possible?

For the Evening Event, all seating is unreserved. It is not possible to reserve specific seats.

Can I bring a guest to the Evening Event?

You can bring a guest to the evening event, as long as seats are available. Participants of the Congress cannot be registered as a companion.
